With more than 30 years of transaction services experience, Mr. Balcombe has worked with companies across a range of industries, including leisure, retail and consumer, industrials and business services. He has advised on 500+ transactions across mid-market and large multinational transactions on buy-side, sell-side, carve-outs, refinancing and distressed transactions.

Prior to joining A&M, where he founded the firm’s European Transaction Advisory Group, Mr. Balcombe was a private equity transaction services partner at Deloitte in London and was instrumental in building this practice. Previously, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked at KPMG, first within the Audit practice, later forming the first dedicated private equity transaction services practice.

Mr. Balcombe earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance (honours) from Kingston University. He holds a practicing certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
