Bill Runge
Mr. Runge’s primary areas of concentration are formulating and evaluating operational and organizational structures, and developing and implementing new strategies in the construction and engineering, packaged foods and meats, heavy manufacturing, distribution, telecom and technology industries.
Mr. Runge brings more than 35 years of experience working in industry, operations, financial and executive management, and turnaround consulting. He has worked primarily with companies challenged by transitions resulting from rapid growth, acquisitions, and changes in financial structure and market environments.
He has deep expertise in analyzing and defining business operations and in developing and implementing tactical and strategic plans that satisfy short-term expediencies and long-term goals. Mr. Runge has served in Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Controller roles in the manufacturing, distribution and service industries. He also led numerous debtor and creditor advisory consulting engagements and served as a Federal Receiver for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Recently Mr. Runge is served as Chief Restructuring Officer of EveryWare Global. Previously, he was adviser to an integrated seafood company with harvesting, packing, prepared foods and marketing operations. He was recently interim President of Clipper Windpower, a large wind turbine maker, developing a plan to refocus the company into a smaller but profitable operation leading to a successful sale process.
Mr. Runge served as CFO of PG&E National Energy Group and operational / financial adviser to Flowers Floods, JGA Corp., Skinner Nurseries, Metromont, Touch One Communications, Star Telecom, Wheland Foundry, Pharr Yarns, Russell Corp., Qimonda Corp., Hayes Microcomputer, Sunshine-Jr. Stores and Laclede Steel.
Mr. Runge recently acted as operational and financial adviser to the senior creditors on one of the largest dairies and associated milk protein concentrate companies in the U.S. He also advised senior creditors on Bellisio Foods, Pilgrim's Pride, Allen’s Family Foods, Cagle’s Chicken, Dairy Production Systems, Frozen Specialties, Horizon Lines, iGPS Pallet Logistics and WorldPoint Logistics.
Before A&M, Mr. Runge served as Partner-in-Charge of the Southeast Practice of a Big Five firm in Atlanta. He also held senior management roles in industry with responsibility for manufacturing, engineering, administration, finance and accounting.
Mr. Runge earned a bachelor's degree in physics and engineering from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from Georgia State University.
